Norfolk, VA – June 5, 2026 – Lawson announces the retirement of Annette Gavrish, who has served as the company’s Controller for 11 years. Her retirement marks the culmination of a distinguished career dedicated to financial stewardship, operational excellence, and service to the organization.
Since joining Lawson in 2014, Gavrish has played a vital role in overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, supporting the continued growth of Lawson’s development, construction, and property management operations. Throughout her tenure, she became known not only for her technical expertise but also for her commitment to mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative culture within the accounting department.

As part of a planned leadership transition, Katherine Bradshaw, CPA, has assumed the role of Controller. Bradshaw joined Lawson in September 2023 as Assistant Controller and has extensive experience in financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
“Annette built a strong foundation and cultivated an exceptional accounting team,” Phipps added. “We are thankful for her many contributions and are confident that Katherine will continue that legacy as Controller.”
