Lawson Realty Corporation is a multi-family housing provider, which currently manages over 5,000 apartment units in Hampton Roads, South Carolina and Mississippi.
We have established a Vendor Committee that is responsible for receiving vendor information and relaying such to all of our community locations. The procedure established by this Committee is as follows:
- A Vendor Book has been instituted which includes vendors approved by the committee. When ordering supplies or bidding contract work, our personnel will refer to the book to contact and order from only the vendors that the committee has approved.
- The Vendor Committee meets every other month to review updated information on our current vendors, and relays it our apartment communities.
- At this time, the Committee also reviews information on vendors that would like to be added to our approved list. The basis of their decision to approve a vendor is:
- The number of vendors already in that particular category
- Competitive pricing
- Referrals
- Reputation
If your company would like to be considered for inclusion in the approved Vendor Book, please submit a written request including W-9 form to:

Upon approval, if you are a supplier vendor, we will request a price list from your company. The prices should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year.
If the Committee approves your request, we would at that time request to be placed on your insurance as “additionally insured” for Worker’s Compensation with a minimum of $100,000 and General Liability Insurance with a minimum of $500,000.
